Take a Breathr: Help Shape BC Children's New Mindfulness App

Breathr is a free mindfulness app developed by BC Children's Hospital for youth, families, and healthcare professionals. This spring, Breathr is launching its fourth version, which will include new meditation content and graphics aligned with the desired look and feel of the app.

Before they go live, we would love to hear from you.

What Are We Testing?

We're inviting parents, youth, and health professionals to be among the first to experience four new guided practices coming to Breathr V4.0:

  • Moving Mindfully– a body-based awareness practice

  • Love Letter to the Earth– a nature-connected reflection practice

  • Coming Home– a grounding practice for caregivers

  • LAND Practice– an embodied land acknowledgment

    (Looking, Allowing, Naming, Dedicating)

These are short (3-5 min), guided audio practices designed to support presence, awareness, and mindfulness.

What Are the Engagement Groups?

An engagement group is a small, facilitated session where you'll try one of the new practices and share your experience through conversation and a short survey. Your feedback will shape how the app is developed and how these practices are presented when Breathr V4.0 launches in April.

Sessions run approximately 50-60 min and take place in March 2026.

All youth and parent/caregiver participants receive a $30 honorarium as a thank-you for their time.

Who it's for?

Each session is designed for a specific group:
